Wayne V.'s Story
Wayne V. Lyons, 69 of Haverhill, passed away Monday, November 14, at his home after a brief illness with his loved ones by his side.
Wayne was born in Newburyport on Nov. 8, 1947 the son of the late James J. and Marjorie E. (Wood) York.
Mr. Lyons was educated in south shore school districts and graduated from Newburyport High School.
He was employed for many years as a security guard at Anna Jaques Hospital and other various local institutions.
Wayne enjoyed hiking, mountain climbing and bike riding with his fiancé, spending time outside no matter what the occasion and a good cookout. He also had a love of music, especially the Eagles
He is survived by his fiancee, of 19 years, Lisa McRae of Haverhill; a son, Michael Lyons of Lunenburg; two daughters, Kellie Taylor of Kingston, N.H. and Tracie Crocker of Pittsfield, N.H.; a sister, Marjorie (Mardee) Beauparlant and her husband, George of Newburyport, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Franny Loguercio.
Wayne will be sadly missed by all who loved him.
At his request, there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are by the H.L.
