Virginia M.'s Story
Virginia M. (Colby) Blaser, 96, of Bradford, died Monday evening, January 23, at Peregrine’s Landing, Tewksbury.
She was born in Bradford, June 12, 1920, daughter of the late Charles L. and Mina W. (Peabody) Colby.
Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mrs. Blaser was employed for over 25 years in the Haverhill school system at the Peabody, Wood and Crowell schools.
A longtime member of the Advent Christian Church, she was a member of the Haverhill Women’s City Club and she, and her late husband, enjoyed nature and bird watching.
She was the wife of the late Adolph E. Blaser, who died in 2002 and her survivors include her children, Calvin L. Blaser and his wife, Ruth E. of N. Kingstown, R.I.; Nathalie M. Roberts and her husband, Carl of Haverhill; Charlna J. Croteau and her husband, Jay of Chicopee; Karl N. Blaser and his wife, Penny of Wilmington; 10 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Matthew and Victoria Blaser, Christopher Roberts, Jayne Campbell, Andrew and Michael Roberts, Gregory Croteau, Kathryn Geoffroy and Beth Gadouas; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Her funeral services were held on Friday, January 27, with interment in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. Arrangements were by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford.
