Vicki Ann's Story
Vicki Ann Wood, 59, of Hagerstown, Md. and formerly of Midland, Mich., passed away peacefully at her home and surrounded by family, Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
Born Wednesday, January 22, 1958 in Heidelberg, Germany, she was the daughter of Richard DeLuca and wife, Marie of New Hampshire and Geraldine (Zins) DeLuca of Maine.
Vicki's life was rooted in faith and love of her family. This set a clear path which she walked with uncommon resolve. Her focus on these enduring values led to her preference for uncomplicated activities, such as camping, bike rides for ice cream, service to the community, and early morning picnics. Her daily life of humble service was an inspiration to her family; her unwavering faith, a source of strength to everyone around her.
She is survived by her husband, Stewart Wood; five sons, Kevin (Jessica) Wood, Patrick (Sarah) Wood, Thomas Wood, Vassily Wood and Alexei Wood; two sisters, Jean DeLuca and husband, Thomas Ganley and Karen Gudroe and husband, Steve; two brothers, David DeLuca and wife, Rhonda and Paul DeLuca and wife, Wendy; grandsons, Theodore and Christopher Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, 224 West Washington Street Hagerstown, Md.
Interment will be held privately at the St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Sanford, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Solanus Casey Center, 1780, Mt Elliott St, Detroit, MI 48207.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
