Valerie (Hunt)'s Story
Valerie LaBerge, 60, of Haverhill and formerly of Port Orange Fla., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, Dec. 27. She was under hospice care and passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.
She was born in Haverhill the daughter of the late Kenneth and JoAnne (Simpson) Hunt. Valerie was educated in the Danvers school system and graduated from Danvers High School.
For many years, Mrs. LaBerge was employed as a housekeeper at many Florida hotels in Coco Beach and Cape Canaveral. She was able to befriend many movie stars and astronauts while living and working in Florida.
Valerie was predeceased by her sisters, Sherry White, Sandra Butcher and April Joy.
She is survived by her children, Keith Dwayne Joyce and Stephanie Rumundo, her aunts, uncles and cousins, Linda and Mark Clark, Barbara and Rick Swain, Florence Marciszka and Bruce Hunt.
There will be a graveside service in the spring at Oak Grove Cemetery, Danvers, where she will join her parents and sisters once more. In lieu of flowers please donate in Val’s name to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Building 9 Lawrence, MA 01843.
