Shirley A. (Janusz)'s Story
Shirley A. (Janusz) Smith, 77, of Methuen, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Lawrence on March 26, 1940, daughter of the late Matthew and Sophia (Pitera) Janusz.
Shirley was educated in North Andover School System and was employed at Western Electric/AT&T in North Andover.
She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the Flea Market every weekend and shopping. Shirley loved all animals and there wasn’t an animal in the neighborhood that went hungry.
She is survived by her three daughters Billie Ann Baker of Methuen, Bonnie J. Trask of Methuen and Dawna L. Evers and her husband Kenneth of Derry, N.H.; brother, Richard Janusz and his wife, Peggy of Raymond, N.H.; sister-in-law, Joan Janos of Windham, N.H.; seven grandchildren, Jerimy, Christopher, Jennifer, Nicholas, Daniel, Eric and Neil; 12 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Matthew Janos and Adeline Arlit.
At the family’s request, services will be private. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.
