Sharon's Story

Sharon Hamilton, 74, passed away August 23, 2016 at her daughters home in Marathon, Fla.
A celebration of life and the spreading of her ashes will be on the Marathon Lady in Marathon, Fla. Ms. Hamilton was born March 23, 1942 in Newburyport. She married John Swanton in 1960 and they raised three children in Newton, N.H. She remairried in 1987 to Robert Hamilton and moved to Marathon, Fla. which she called home.
She was a school bus driver in N.H. and has worked at the Marathon Manor and the Visitors Center in Marathon. She also earned her CNA and was happiest when helping others.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, John Swanton and her second husband, Robert Hamilton.
She is survived by her three children, Tressa Wohlers of Marathon and husband, George Wohlers, David Swanton of East Hampstead, N.H., Renee Swanton of Ft. Myers Fla.; grandchildren, Kai Simcic-Swanton, Kyra Simcic-Swanton, Thomas Wohlers and wife Tiffany and Ryan Wohlers all of Marathon, Derek Swanton and Lucah Swanton of East Hampstead, N.H.; three sisters, Beverly King of Revere, Jackie Marzioli of Haverhill and Jeanene Goucher of Seabrook, N.H. and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Colton Wohlers.
