Ronald J.'s Story
Ronald J. Rand Sr., 81, of Manchester, N.H. and formerly of Haverhill passed away peacefully at home with his wife of 55 years by his side after a lengthy illness. He was born October 27th, 1934, son of the late Earl S. and Charlotte E. (Mack) Rand and was born, raised and educated in Haverhill.
Ron loved jazz music and the Big Band Era. He worked most of his life as a professional musician as a percussionist. He enjoyed model railroading and had an enthusiasm for trains. He also had a great appreciation of the history of the Merrimack Valley. His children were his joy.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie O. (Walsh) Rand and son, Ronald J. Rand Jr.; daughter, Ronda J. (Rand) Gibeau and husband, Joseph Gibeau and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
