Pauline A's Story
Pauline Jensen passed away suddenly on August 16, 2016, at her home in Newton, N.H.
She leaves behind her loving children, Gwen Cunningham of Danville, N.H.; Patricia Laflin and her husband, Roderick of Plaistow, N.H.; Brenda Conkel and her husband, Gregory of Kingston, N.H.; and Charles Jensen and his wife, Leslie, of Florida. Pauline had six beloved grandchildren, Alex, Nathan, and Alicia Cunningham, Emma Laflin, Allison Jensen and Samuel Conkel. She was predeceased by her sister, Roberta, and leaves behind a brother, Frank Perri, of North Carolina and a sister, Atea Ring of New York.
Pauline was born on July 1, 1932, in Groveland, Mass., to the late Frank and Edna (Goodrich) Perri. She worked at her family’s business, Groveland Machine, until her marriage. Pauline married the love of her life, the late Richard Jensen, in 1951 and settled in Plaistow, N.H., where they raised their four children. After Richard’s retirement from AT&T (Western Electric) they moved to Bradenton, Fla., where they lived until Richard’s passing in 1996. Pauline then relocated back to New Hampshire to be close to her family.
Pauline was an active member of the Groveland Garden Club for many years. She was also an artist, flower arranger and an avid ballroom dancer. She loved birds, gardening and nature.
Private arrangements were made at Pauline’s request at Dole, Childs and Shaw in Haverhill, Mass. Memorial donations may be made to N.H. Public Television or The Nature Conservancy.
