DELRAY BEACH, FL & HAVERHILL: Miriam Suvalle Shain, 99, of Delray Beach, Fla., and Haverhill, Mass., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, at her home in Delray Beach.

Mrs. Shain was born in Boston, Dec. 21, 1915, the daughter of the late David and Rachel (Silberstein) Suvalle and the late Dora (Pollack) Suvalle.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her sister, Nathalie Rosenfield and her brother, Harold Suvalle.

She is survived by her son, Steven M. Shain and his wife, Carol, daughters Ruth A. Rood and her husband, Shea, and Jill M. Carroll and her husband, Winston; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Her funeral service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Interment followed in Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon.
