Marie was born to John and Marie L. “Celeste” McEntee on April 21, 1930 in Brockton, Mass., along with her two younger brothers, Jack and Phil. Together, they attended schools in Brockton and Avon and later graduated from Brockton High School in 1948. Marie married her husband, Allen Goodrich on July 2, 1950 in Avon. She was employed most of her adult life as a bookkeeper, tax preparer and office manager in Construction businesses. She loved ballroom dancing for over 50 years with her husband. She enjoyed and was a true talent in sewing and home decorating. She raised her three children mostly in Groveland, but lived in Haverhill, and for the past 30 years in Port Charlotte, Fla. Survivors include her three children, Gary (Shelley) Goodrich of Pownal, Maine, David Goodrich of Port Charlotte and Gail Provencher of Canton, Mass.; her brother, Jack (Nancy) McEntee of Avon; nine grandchildren, Gretchen, Kyle, Andrea, Ryan, David, stepson, Jamie Castor, Kara Kubiak, Brett Brunault and stepson, Chad Provencher and three great-grandchildren, JJ, Vinny and Ada and a sister-in-law, Barbara. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Allen Goodrich and her brother, Philip.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maryknoll Father & Brother Missions, P.O.
