BRADFORD: John F. Zuber, 94, of Bradford died Sunday morning, March 6, surrounded by his family at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., January 19, 1922, son of the late John and Mary Zuber and was educated there.
He moved to Haverhill in the late 1940’s and was employed, until his retirement in 1982, as a Supervisor for the former Western Electric for over 42 years.
An avid golfer and bowler, Mr. Zuber was a member of the Amesbury Country Club and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn A. (Wholley) Zuber with whom he shared 62 years of marriage, a daughter, Judith Mazzaglia and her husband, Richard, three sons, John F. Zuber, Jr. and his wife, Linda, William Zuber and his wife, Susan, Philip Zuber and his wife, Maureen; six grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Jillian, Stephanie, Julia and Kimberly, as well as several nieces and nephews.
His visitation was held on Wednesday morning, March 9 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 210 So. Main St., Bradford, followed by a funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Scared Hearts Church, Bradford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
