HAVERHILL: John McHale, 56, of Haverhill and formerly of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7, at Lawrence General Hospital.
He was born in Lowell, son of Judith (Keohane) McHale of Hudson, N.H. and the late John “Jack” McHale.
Besides his mother his survivors include his wife and best friend of 31 years, Marcy (Ash) McHale of Haverhill, two beloved daughters, Emily Gorski and her husband, Dan of Haverhill, Becky McHale of Haverhill; two brothers, James McHale and his wife, Suzanne of Pelham, N.H., Daniel McHale and his wife, Colleen of Dracut; two sisters, Mary Dowling and her husband, Dave of Hudson, N.H., Ann Marie Tierney and her husband, Tom of Hudson, N.H., and his cherished granddaughter, Ava Gorski of Haverhill, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Adele and Melvin Ash of Haverhill; brother in-law, Peter Ash and his wife, Lisa of Andover, sister in-law, Lisa Greenlaw and her husband, Don of Woodstock, N.H., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His calling hours were held on Monday, July, 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral home, 210 So. Main St., Bradford. His funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday morning, July 14, at 11 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main St., Bradford. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
