John A. “Jay”'s Story
John A. “Jay” Meola, 35, of Amesbury and formerly of Haverhill, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, December 28, at Tufts Medical Center, Boston.
He was born in Haverhill, February 12, 1981, son of Cynthia (Corthell) Basiliere of Haverhill and Alphonse Meola of Haverhill and Newton, N.H.
Besides his parents his survivors include his wife, Libbyanne Meola; a daughter, Melora Elandra Meola; a son, Vincent Stormangelo Meola all of Amesbury, his stepmother, Sheila Meola of Newton, N.H.; his paternal grandmother, Mary Louise (Minichiello) Meola of Haverhill; his father-in-law and mother-in-law; David and Andrea Small of Zephyr Hills, Fla., his brother and sister-in-law, David and Deana Small, and their children, his nephew and niece, Colby Small and Callie Small, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
His calling hours and funeral service were held December 31 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions in his memory may be made to an educational fund for Melora & Vincent.
