James A.'s Story
James A. Favor, 79, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Mt. Willing, Ala. on Oct. 13, 1936, son of the late Alex R. and Lucille (Holladay) Favor.
James was a highly skilled, self-employed carpenter who spent his entire career building homes and providing detailed, intricate finish work throughout the area.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Sandra A. (Arakelian) Favor of Haverhill; his children, Bryan J. and his wife, Robin Favor of Groveland and Cheryl A. Favor of Bradford; three grandchildren, Michelle, Bryanna and Kasey Favor; brother, Robert Favor and his wife, Elizabeth of Montgomery, Ala.; sisters, Mary Hooks of Montgomery and Warene Parrish of Alabama; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late John, Reid, William and Maxine.
His calling hours were held Sunday, Oct. 16th at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His funeral service followed. Interment with military honors was private in the Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
