LOS ANGELES, CA: Helen (Glagovsky) Saltsman, formerly of Haverhill, died on November 30, 2015 at the age of 92, in Los Angeles after a long illness. She was the devoted daughter of the late Bernard and Sadye Glagovsky. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam Saltsman, her dear uncle, William Glagovsky; sisters, Charlotte Warshaw and Barbara Krongaus. Survived by her daughter, Jane (Erwin) Wolf, Michael (Jan) Saltsman and Richard (Carolyn) Saltsman, as well as grandchildren, Matthew Wolf, Elana Saltsman, Shira (Greg) Cherniet. and great-grandson, Sam Cherniet, all of Los Angeles. She is also survived by sisters, Gloria Mendelsohn of Los Angeles, Mynda (Lee) Siskind of North Andover; nephew, Alan Siskind of Los Angeles; niece, Margie Siskind Kern and grand-niece, Emily Kern of Newton, Mass.
Helen lived a long, happy, and active life surrounded by her loving family and many dear friends. She devoted her time, energy, and enthusiasm to her family, her Temple, Brandeis Study Group, golf, bridge, theater, travel, and LA Symphony – all of which were just a few of her many interests.
Helen will live forever in the hearts of her family and in those of everyone who knew and loved her.
Her funeral was held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Los Angeles. Expressions of sympathy in her name may be made to the organization of one’s choice.
