BRADFORD: Helen F. (Costello) Checovich, 94, of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, at her residence.
She was born in Haverhill on October 16, 1921, daughter of the late Myles and Alice (Sheridan) Costello.
She was the wife of the late Samuel L. Checovich who passed away in 1978 and mother of the late Frederick J. Checovich who passed away in 1985. Helen was also the longtime companion of the late Irving Jordan. Her survivors include her daughter, Sandra C. and her husband, William McEvoy of Bradford: son, Samuel L. Checovich and his wife, Andrea of N. Hampton, N.H.; her five grandchildren, Todd, Christina, Cory, Nicholas and Emma, numerous nieces and nephews.
Her visitation was held on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 So. Main St., Bradford. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 11:30 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Church in Bradford. Interment was in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.
