BRADFORD: George E. Lennon, 74, a lifelong resident of Bradford, passed away Saturday Dec. 26, at the Wingate at Haverhill.

George was born in Connecticut on May 15, 1941, the only child of Edward L. and Dorothy C. (Hart) Lennon.

Mr. Lennon was educated in the Haverhill public schools and graduated from Haverhill High School where he was a member of the football team. He went on to further his education and earned two Master’s degrees from the National University of Ireland in Galway.

George was employed as a book salesman prior to becoming a teacher at Haverhill High School. In his later years, he was a counselor at Baldpate Hospital in Georgetown.

He is survived by his children, Chauncy and his wife, Phoebe of New York, and Adam Lennon, three grandchildren, many cousins and innumerable friends.

His visitation was held on Monday at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (Route 125), Bradford. A Funeral Service followed the visitation at the funeral home.
