Eva Elaine (Belmont) Oickle passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at the Wingate at Haverhill at the age of 89 with her family by her side.
She was born in Haverhill on February 3, 1927, daughter of the late Neville H. and Dorothy A. (Collins) Belmont. Mrs. Oickle married her husband of 70 years, Kenneth L. Oickle, on May 6, 1945, and together they raised two children in Merrimac and Haverhill.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Debra Ann Oickle, four grandchildren, Michelle (Demaris) and her husband, Mark Fleming, John K. Demaris and his wife, Julie, Beth (Demaris) Stempien and Jennifer (Demaris) (Moran) and her husband, John Camarato all of Haverhill; two sisters, Melba (Belmont) Oickle of Alton Bay, N.H., Barbara (Belmont) Seeley of Manchester, N.H., 11 great-grandchildren, one adorable great-great-granddaughter, her son-in-law, John W. Demaris and his wife, Penney of Haverhill and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Oickle was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Ann (Oickle) Demaris in 2011, her eldest favorite brother Mearl Collins, who gave her in marriage, her brothers, Myron (Mike) Belmont and Grand Belmont and two brothers who died in infancy.
Mrs. Oickle’s family would like to thank the staff at Wingate at Haverhill for their exceptional care and consideration given during her stay there.
Private funeral services were held at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 106 Summer St., Haverhill with interment in Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill.
