Eleanor H.'s Story
Eleanor H. (Kaplan) Segal-Baratt, 85, of Haverhill, passed away Wednesday December 21st at the Merrimack Valley Health Center in Amesbury.
She was born in Dorchester on Jan. 21, 1931, daughter of the late David and Mollie (Lampkin) Kaplan.
Eleanor was educated in the Dorchester schools and came to Haverhill in 1950. She was employed at the former Hale Hospital for over 15 years until her retirement. She also worked with her late husband Joseph Segal at QSP on Essex St. in Haverhill.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Segal who passed away in 1991, and is survived by her two daughters Margery and her husband, Michael Driscoll of Haverhill and Susan and her husband, Robert Baumann of Bradford; her grandson, Michael D. Baumann and his husband, Crosby Elliott of Boston; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Charlotte White and Eileen Brown.
Her funeral service was held on Friday at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (Rte. 125) Bradford. Interment followed in the Children of Israel Cemetery, Haverhill.
