Ellie was an avid sports fan from an early age. After living in Denver in the 70’s, she became a die-hard Bronco fan. She also loved watching the Angels and Ducks in action. She could often be found watching sports while cross-stitching, doing hardinger, or knitting. She knitted a special Christmas stocking for every new addition to the family and extended family. These stockings have become a multigenerational tradition. Her beautiful needlework is cherished in the homes of her children, family and friends. Over the years, Ellie was involved with the Assistance League of Tustin. She was also actively involved with the Alla Gitana Guild of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, having served several board positions including Chairman. Having moved all over the country during her lifetime, she was proud to have maintained her many long distance friendships over the years.
Ellie cherished her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She appreciated and enjoyed all the wonderful times spent together.
A memorial Mass was held at Holy Family Cathedral in Orange, Calif. on Wednesday, February 17. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
