PALM BAY, FL: Edward H. Watson, 93, passed away on February 18, 2015 in Palm Bay, Fla.
He was born in Cambridge in 1921 to James and Gertrude Watson. Edward grew up in Reading and graduated from Reading High. When he married Margaret Shanahan in 1948, they made their home in Groveland. He and his wife relocated to Palm Bay, Fla., in 1984, where they spent the remainder of their lives. He leaves sons, Edward Jr. of Groveland, James and his wife, Shannon of Cocoa, Fla.; daughters, Mary and her husband, Tom Giancristiano of Dennis, Dot and her husband, Richard Mueller and Judy, all of Palm Bay. He leaves three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves three brothers and a sister, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Margaret Watson; a sister, Virginia; brother, Robert (Doc) and great-grandson, Deacon Watson.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Saturday, April 18, from 9 to 10:45 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Groveland. Interment with military honors will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
