HAVERHILL: Edward J. Moore, 71, of Haverhill, died Thursday evening, June 25, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston.
He was born in Haverhill, July 20, 1943, son of the late Leroy W. and Alice J. (Smith) Moore.
His survivors include his wife of 52 years, Bette A. (Jardine) Moore of Haverhill; two daughters, Karen M. Zybert and her husband, Peter of Haverhill, Cynthia A. Hathaway of Portsmouth, N.H.; a brother, John Moore and his wife, Roxanne of Wakefield, N.H.; a sister, Virginia Sacks of New York; brother-in-law, Richard Froias and his wife, Roberta of Plaistow, N.H.; six grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews. Mr. Moore was also the father of the late Edward J. “Ted” Moore, Jr. who died in 1991, and brother of the late, Margaret Moore, Alice Froias and Janet Sharrio, and bother-in-law of the late Warren Sacks.
His calling hours were held on Wednesday, July 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His funeral will be held on Thursday morning, July 2, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, Winter St., Haverhill.
