HAVERHILL: Donald J. Lovely, 83, of Haverhill, passed away Tuesday morning, April 8, at the Penacook Place Nursing Home.
He was born in Haverhill, December 26, 1931 son of the late Raymond F. and Mary E. (Hefferan) Lovely.
Mr. Lovely was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from St. James High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College and served our country in the Navy during the Korean War.
Donald was employed for many years as a salesman. He was also employed as a driver for Boston Coach.
Mr. Lovely was predeceased by his brother, Louis J. Lovely.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Maureen B. (Demarais) Lovely; and his siblings, Raymond F. Lovely, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Atkinson, N.H., Robert E. Lovely of Salisbury, Md. and Catherine E. Hogan and her husband, Wayne of Bradford, as well as several nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass was held on April 13, in Sacred Hearts Church. Interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Condolences to his family may be made at www.farmerfuneralhomes.com.
