Charles S.'s Story
Charles S. Manikas, 98, of Plaistow, N.H., passed away Monday, March 20, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.
Mr. Manikas was predeceased by his loving wife, Ida (Varnavas) Manikas who passed away in 2013.
He is survived by his three children, Stuart Manikas of Plaistow, N.H., Victoria Hastie and her husband, Robert of Centerville, Va., and Judith Sparanges of Shrewsbury, two grandchildren, Jessica Hastie and Christopher Sparanges as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Sunday afternoon, March 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His funeral will be held on Monday morning, March 27, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in Holy Apostles Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154-156 Winter St., Haverhill. Interment with Military Honors will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
