Carzell's Story

Carzell Brown, 85, of Lawrence, passed away Sunday May 7, 2017 at Lawrence General Hospital.
He was born in Meigs, Ga. on Aug. 29, 1931, son of the late George and Minnie (Moore) Brown.
He was the husband of the late Ester (Freeman) Brown who passed away in 1991 and is survived by his grandson who he raised Minister Ryan Tankersley and his wife Julie of N. Andover; his four children, Mae Ethel Brown of Neptune, N.J., Antoinette Brown of Asbury Park, N.J. Carzell Brown, of Asbury Park, N.J. and Wardell Lorenzo Brown and his wife Karen of Norfolk, Va.; his brother, Thomas Brown of Neptune, N.J.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Rosa Bea Brown, Beatrice Brown and Trudy Brown.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday, May 12th from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 13 Ashland St. Haverhill. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. BOX 781, Haverhill, MA 01830.
