RALEIGH, NC: Carol A. (Anderson) Greenwood, 72, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on November 8, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard P. Greenwood, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Cambridge, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Lenora F. (Lopez) and Hilding A. Anderson. She was predeceased by her son, Richard G. Greenwood and his wife, Tracy (Paquette) Greenwood, and her grandson, Ryan G. Greenwood. She was also predeceased by her sister, Linda Anderson.

Having worked for Hewlitt Packard and Walt Disney World, Florida, Carol spent many years working as a hairdresser at Kathy's Beauty Nook before she went on to work independently until she retired. She is also fondly remembered for her tireless efforts on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association of Haverhill, providing years of entertainment, funding and companionship for those suffering from the disease.

Her love of family was unparalleled; every day was a testament to how much she cared about and cherished her friends and family. It was this love that made each day worth living and she lived her life grateful for each day God saw fit to grant her.

She is greatly missed by her family, including her three daughters, Cassandra A. (Greenwood) Hogan and her husband, Sean, Danyelle M. (Greenwood) Rousseau and her husband, Daniel, and Kerri L. (Greenwood) Jusczak and her husband, Timothy. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Carol is survived by her brother, Andy Anderson; and her sister, Dianne (Anderson) Spidle and her husband, Paul.

A memorial Mass will be said in her memory on January 16, 4 p.m. at All Saints Church in Haverhill. At the request of the family, donations may be made in her memory to Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
