Carmen's Story

BRADFORD: Carmen L. Bastarache, 91, of Bradford, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 1, at the Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill.

She was born in Lewiston, Maine on Jan. 26, 1925 the daughter of the late Evangelist and Albina (Vermette) Galarneau.

Mrs. Bastarache was predeceased by her loving husband Philip Bastarache who passed away in 1995, her sons Richard Myers who passed away in 2012 and Steven Bastarache who passed away in 2014 as well as a sister Marguerite Bussier.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Armstrong and her significant other, Ben of Wells, Maine, Donna C. O’Connell and her husband, Thomas of Bradford, and Leonard P. Bastarache and his wife, Sandi of Oxford, N.Y., 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a special niece, Marguerite Griener.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Friday evening, February 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (Route 125), Bradford. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 6, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
