Bertha A. (Rylands)'s Story
Bertha A. (Rylands), Washington, Bergeron, 98, of West Newbury, passed away peacefully Friday, February 17, at the Hannah Duston Health Care Center, Haverhill.
She was born in Lawrence on September 22, 1918 the only child of the late James and Bertha (Kirsch) Rylands.
She attended Lawrence public schools and attended Lawrence High School.
For many years she was employed as an assembler at Raytheon in Andover.
She was a past member of the Grace Church in Lawrence.
Bertha was predeceased by her husbands, James Washington and Alcide Bergeron.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Sandra L. D’Amato and her husband, Joseph R. D’Amato of Haverhill; stepson, Thomas Bergeron and his wife, Marcia; step-grandchildren, Mark D’Amato and his wife, Andrea, Nathan D’Amato, Bruce D’Amato of Manchester, N.H., Brett Bergeron and Kurt Bergeron and his wife, Sarah.
Her calling hours and funeral service were held on Tuesday at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial followed in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. To share a memory or for more information, please visit www.farmerfuneralhomes.com.
