LOS ANGELES, CA: Barbara (Glagovsky) Krongaus, formerly of Haverhill, died peacefully on November 16, 2015 in Los Angeles after a long illness. She was the devoted daughter of the late Bernard and Sadye Glagovsky.
Barbara was an elementary school teacher in Los Angeles for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving Krongaus, her beloved uncle, William Glagovsky; sister, Charlotte Warshaw and daughter, Laurie Saltsman.
She is survived by grandsons, Ben, Daniel and Joshua Saltsman, and great-grandson, Evan Saltsman. Also survived by sisters, Helen Saltsman, Gloria Mendelson, and Mynda (and brother-in-law), Leland Siskind of North Andover, as well as nieces and nephews.
Her strengths, independent spirit and generous nature were admired by her family and friends and her memory will be treasured by all of us who knew and loved her.
Barbara’s funeral was held on Sunday, November 22, in California. Expressions of sympathy in her name may be made to the organization of one’s choice.
